Musings from the Coral Princess
We learned that on this first segment, LA to Sydney, 524 passengers were first-time Princess cruisers. That’s 25% of the passengers! We also learned that one-half of the passengers are at the highest loyalty level – Elite status – which the Captain joked explains why it takes so long for the laundry to get done. (Elite passengers get complimentary laundry services!)
The most traveled persons on the ship – each had over 2500 nights on Princess. Wow!!!
Last evening, the Captain and his officers held a nice goodbye party in the Atrium for those passengers which are debarking in Sydney. He shared that since our departure in LA, the ship has traveled 11,596 nautical miles, consumed 15,000 dozen eggs, drank 25,122 bottles/cans of beer and used 26,256 rolls of toilet paper. Wow again!
Our journey across the Tasman Sea has been uneventful. There have been some choppy seas, and the outside deck seven has been closed a couple of times, but the barf bags have not come out so we consider ourselves fortunate.
Tomorrow: Sydney, Australia
