Last Day in Tossa
We decided that today, everyone should do what their heart desired. Sharon wanted to crochet on the veranda. She brought supplies and she’s working on a blanket for her grand-niece Hattie. Marshall took an epic hike above the town, taking some awesome photos. Peter was going to work on paperwork and get organized for our move to Barcelona.
And then there was the packing. We’ve been pretty settled into this flat for a week, so pulling it all back together and shoving it into our suitcases was going to take a few.
By 7pm, we were zipped up and we headed downstairs for dinner. We have been trying to go to this one restaurant all week. Either it has been full, or not open, so tonight we made sure to be there right when it opened. Luckily, we snagged a table outside and could enjoy the final sunset. El Cau d’ en Xavi is literally in our building so we didn’t have far to walk.
After appetizers of calamari, tomato bread and ham croquettes, we had a delicious meal. Sharon enjoyed a tomato and burrata salad, Marshall had breaded veal and Peter had pork medallions. The guys had ice cream for desert and Sharon tried a Catalan specialty of a filled pastry with salted caramel ice cream. Our last day in Tossa de Mar had come to and end.
This week in Tossa has been really nice. The weather has been perfect, we’ve ate well, learned some history and enjoyed the beauty. This town is a little gem.
