After our drive from Tossa, we returned the rental car to the airport and taxied into the city. For our four nights in Barcelona, we are staying at another Sonder property, although this one is more like a proper hotel. In the Gothic Quarter there are two Sonder properties, near the Placa Reial. Using the code they sent via email, we were able to get into the building and access our room.

The next day, we waited for the remainder of the group to arrive. Our daughter Kathryn and her boyfriend Kevin, plus our friend Cathy, were the first to arrive from Columbus. Next, our “German son” Soeren, and his girlfriend Ari, arrived from Hamburg. Soeren lived with us in Skaneateles, as an exchange student in 2014, and we’ve not seen them since 2023. We’ve been looking forward to the reunion.

For dinner we had paella at a restaurant in Placa Reial called Ocanna. I don’t know that we would return, but it was fun sitting outside and people watching.
