The Prado, Madrid
After walking nearly 15 miles in the last three days, we decided to take it easy today. No alarms, a load of laundry, and some paperwork. In the afternoon, we visited the world famous Prada Museum and spent time amongst Spain’s favored artist sons; Goya, Ramon, Velazquez, and Greco. The Prada is a beautiful gallery with wide open and inspired spaces. While we could not take photos of the works of art, and we were not fans of many of the darker subjects, you cannot be with these masterpieces without appreciating their role in Spanish culture.
Afterwards, we returned to El Rincon Asturiana for dinner. Sure, we could have tried a new restaurant but after three weeks of travel, we were seeking familiarity. These folks were happy to see us again and took good care of us.
Tomorrow: Madrid
Nothing like a restaurant that is so good, you return. Especially, in another country.
