What better way to kick-off a trip than with a visit with family and friends in Atlanta. It’s always a great time returning to the place we called home for many years. The nostalgia of the past, mixed with the excitement for the upcoming adventure…all I can say is we’ve got all the feels going.

In the middle of our excellent visit, we’ve been dealing with our first hiccup of the trip. Qatar Airlines has notified us that our flight from Doha, Qatar to Amman, Jordan has been delayed by 8 hours. So, instead of leaving at 8:00pAST Saturday night, we’ll be departing at 4amAST Sunday morning. The local authorities in Amman have been notified so that our visas to enter Jordan can be modified and the hotel in Amman has been notified so that they don’t give our rooms away. We can only hope that when we arrive in Doha, that Qatar Airlines provides us with a hotel room for our 12-hour layover. Stay tuned.
