T-Minus Two Weeks
This is a big day for two reasons. First of all, we’re happy to report that all of our shit will fit into our suitcases. Hooray!! It was dicey for a hot minute but our dry run was a success. We each have one large, one medium and one carry-on suitcase. Marsh weighed all of them and they each weigh less than 50lbs. We will also have a small duffle or two of items that we plan to purchase in LA before we board. More on that in a later post.
Secondly, many of our fellow world travelers are boarding TODAY in Ft Lauderdale!! On the Princess World Cruise, you can board either in Ft Lauderdale or in Los Angeles (where we will board). So, they begin their journey 14 days before we begin ours. We’re excited for them and wish them a blessed bon voyage! See you on Thursday January 18 when we board the Island Princess!!!
Love the site! Will you have a slightly bigger cabin for the RTW group? Is there a lounge just for the RTW? Will there also be people who hop on and off? What a great adventure!
Karen – No, have the same size room we usually have. I’ll post about it once we’re onboard. Yes, some people will join the ship for shorter periods, known as segments, but the bulk of the folks are on for the full 111 days.
