T-Minus Three Weeks
We’ve received a lot of questions about how do you begin to prepare for a 4-month trip on a ship. The answer is keeping lists. Lots and lots of lists. Our lists have lists.
Seriously, we began developing the lists a year ago, as we followed the World Cruise 2023 folks on their Facebook group and several of their blogs. We gained valuable insight on what to pack, and what would not matter. We learned that however many cough lozenges we thought we needed, bring 3X that many. We learned that mini-fans are super appreciated during the hottest portions of the trip. We learned about how to maximize valuable cabin space to store 4 months of stuff. We’re grateful to them for sharing their experience and wisdom.
Our lists detail everything from clothes to medications (both over the counter and prescriptions) and everything in between. We’ve got lists of documents needed, visas required, vaccinations recommended, and tickets for excursions. And don’t get us started on the lists for at home while we are away!!
When any anxiety seeps in, we just say “work the lists”. Now that Christmas is over, we’re fully pivoting to the lists and beginning the pack. Stay tuned!
