Our dear guide Lizzie took and shared many photos from our day in Killinchy and I thought it worth another post. As previously reported, we had an amazing time getting to know this sweet town and its people. Our grandfather’s family came from Killinchy and it was a rewarding experience to learn more about them and the contributions they made.

We mentioned the Livingston Centre before; a small museum affiliated with the Killinchy Parish Church. This Centre was established by another U.S. family, the Livingstons, as a memorial to their Killinchy ancestors and to help tell the story of how Irish immigrants contributed to America. We are grateful for their investment in this immigrant story as it is an important one and should not be forgotten. The Centre will have a lasting impact on our view of the world and immigration.

Please enjoy these additional photographs!

Love the sign about the Scots, Welsh, Irish and English! All too true.
