The planning process for this trip has been fun. We’ve had multiple zoom meetings to share information, reading lists, packing tips and security intel. We feel very prepared and in good company.

Our travel partners for this trip are Patti Carey (Skaneateles, NY), Peter Langhan (Atlanta, GA), and Robert Marshall and Kurt Meister (NYC, NY). We all became fast friends on our Galapagos/Machu Picchu trip in 2022 and have been hatching this trip ever since. Unfortunately, our mutual friends Ed and Deanna Fischermann (Dana Point, CA) will not be able to join us due to Ed recovering from a recent surgery. They will be missed.

For most of the trip, we will be utilizing the tour operator AmaWaterways. They are managing our pre-Egypt tour in Jordan and the full Egypt tour including the 7-day cruise on the Nile River.

For our time in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha, we are managing our own travel, utilizing local guides that we have sourced from Tours by Locals and Viator. Our oldest daughter Kathryn Magee (Dublin, OH) will be joining us in Dubai and we will be celebrating her 30th birthday in Doha, before heading home.
