NFL and Sunsets
Sunday was a fun day of watching football. The sun was shining, though it was still a bit chilly, and we staked out a table for prime viewing. On a ship this size, you’ll always find people routing for any of the NFL teams. Today, the Patriot, Bronco, Seahawk, and LA Ram fans were in their heyday. The games were projected onto the big screen up on Lido deck, and it was a pleasant day, especially for the Patriot and Seahawk faithful.
We’ve started to see enough blue skies to experience sunsets too. These photos were captured by the Syfrig’s, whose cabin is on the starboard side of the ship, with a view on our southwesterly heading. We won’t be able to see a sunset from our cabin on the port side until the ship begins a true southerly heading, sometime after Hawaii.
We continue to enjoy the lectures on Hawaiian history and port information. The lecturers are a couple that live on the Big Island and they’ve provided a unique perspective as generational Hawaiians. Each day they present the topic, wearing beautiful traditional Hawaiian dress.
Tomorrow: Honolulu, HI, USA
